Sal Khan said in an interview that he wants to have every student in a classroom, which I would read as him wanting the public school system to exist. He wants to sell the software to the public school system.
When you have this kind of thinking, it feels misguided, which makes you think there's still a massive opportunity for someone to disrupt education using AI that we have not arrived at yet.

Schools are going to have a harder and harder time in the future unless they figure out a way to rein in deepfakes. There's been a recent trend of people using voice cloning software to clone teachers' or administrators' voices making offensive remarks. To me, the bigger problem is likely going to be people utilizing AI undressme apps to create fake nudes of someone. And potentially bullying and threatening someone with these fake pictures. I worry that there's going to be tremendous harm unless there's either better safeguards or protections put in place for kids.
