Glasses Upgrade | Flux
Meta's Ray-Ban glasses now have live AI translation and even Shazam. These glasses are going to be the biggest winners of Augmented Reality (AR), making the world smaller, letting you figure out music, and helping you better understand the world around you.
I am most interested in the AI translation component. Where you can listen to a conversation and translate it into your native language. The missing piece is how to respond back in someone’s native language and not require them to also have the glasses.

The Harvard Business Review explores the areas where humans still have an edge over AI. I expect this list to get smaller each year.
In some cases from their list, I’d argue AI has already surpassed humans. A key area is complexity, with Agents, AI can scenarios better than many humans can.
PC Gamer cautions people to be more cautious about Google's new Genie 2 model, saying that the model may not be as flexible as it seems. If true, that will limit the speed and success of using Genie to build full-fledged games.
Google has been on a roll this month, usurping OpenAI’s announcements with its own GenAI tools. Expect more innovation from Google in 2025.
